Why Is “Plant Based Done Right” The Healthiest Diet Book in The World?

Many ask, Why Is “Plant Based Done Right” The Healthiest Diet Book in The World? While many diets may work for you, the key is finding one you can stick to in the long run. Here are 5 diets considered to be the healthiest in the world that are thought to be scientifically proven to be effective for many people.

Why Is

1. Low-carb, whole-food diet

The low-carb, whole-food diet is okay as a starter for very unhealthy people who want to lose weight, improve health, and lower their risk of disease. Though not a perfect diet, because the primary focus is on low-carbs. Unfortunately, many people do not understand that a low-carb diet is nonsensical and the focus should be on minimizing empty nutrient, processed carbs instead. The ideal weight loss program with the most benefit is a whole food, plant-based diet which includes whole complex carbs, not simple carbs. Get this: plants are carbohydrates. Animal sources are not. When plants are stripped of their nutrients they become unhealthy, inflammatory, disease-causing substances, like meat, dairy, and eggs. The outer layers of whole grains are removed resulting in white rice, white flour, white bread. See where I’m going here?

2. Mediterranean diet

The Mediterranean diet is a good diet that has been thoroughly studied. It’s has been said to be particularly effective for heart disease prevention. It emphasizes food that was commonly eaten around the Mediterranean region during the 20th century and earlier.

As such, it includes plenty of vegetables, fruits, fish, poultry, whole grains, legumes, dairy products, and extra virgin olive oil. Hence making it not quite as healthy as a whole food, plant-based diet due to its incorporation of fish and the emphasis of olive oil.

Fish is laden with heavy metals, PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), and many other chemicals known to cause cancer and neurological disease such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and ALS.

In studies done on the mediterranean diet, it was concluded that olive oil was a key factor in heart disease reduction. But in fact, it was the increased intake of vegetables, including leafy greens, tomatoes, onions, and whole olives. Further studies done by Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn proved that the olive oil inclusion is not beneficial for patients who are sensitive to genetic familial cholesterol elevations. For cancer and heart disease concerns, incorporating sea vegetables and algae omega supplements as a replacement is highly recommended.

3. Paleo diet

The paleo diet is a very popular diet that is said to be effective for weight loss and general health improvement. It is currently the world’s most popular diet among the young. Unfortunately, as these people age and slow down many of them will realize that this diet will not carry them long term.

It centers on unprocessed food believed to resemble those available to some of humanity’s Paleolithic ancestors. But it is high in animal sourced protein known to cause inflammation. This type of protein allows toxins to enter through the inner lining of the blood vessels. The overly high protein content of meat is stored as fat.

It is not uncommon for marathoners to drop dead from a heart attack. Often these are people who believe overexercising will prevent them from the same demise as their forefathers. A whole food plant-based diet reduces the need for extra exercise to regular and enjoyable activities of daily living. These include walking, swimming, biking, and gardening which keep blood flowing, ridding the body of toxins. This type of exercise preserves your joints and gets you plenty of time outdoors to be one with nature.

4. Vegan diet

The vegan diet is focused primarily on the ethical treatment of animals. It has been popular since WW2 when the invention of equipment for mass processing of animals came to light. Consequently, vegans experienced a number of health benefits, including weight loss, improved heart health, and better blood sugar control.

This diet is based on plant food and typically excludes all animal products. It also excludes honey and sugar. Honey is respected as the bees food and white sugar is known to be filtered through animal bone char. Both are taboo.

But this diet still includes processed oil and salt, known causes of inflammatory disease and cancer. This brings us back to the whole food plant-based diet as the healthiest diet in the world.

5. Gluten-free diet

The gluten-free diet is essential for people who are diagnosed with Celiac disease. For those without a definitive diagnosis who are sensitive to gluten, a microbiome overhaul may be in order. Less than 1% of those who believe they have celiac disease actually do, so testing is important.

There are over 39 trillion microorganisms living inside of each of us. They live either in harmony or at war with one another based on what we eat. People with gluten sensitivities who seek to improve their diet with a plant-based regimen sometimes find that the two clash. The plant-based diet places a strong emphasis on whole grains and whole wheat is a very healthy source that includes gluten. Fortunately, the gut microbiome can be changed and gluten sensitivities eliminated with the help from experts like Will Bulsiewicz, MD, author of Fiber Fueled. But for those with an actual diagnosis there are alternative whole grains like brown rice, oats, and quinoa. A worry free transition to a whole food, plant-based diet can be achieved and people can live happier ever after.
